One cannot but feel a tiny bit of sympathy for the leaders of North Korea, Kim Jong-Un and the Kim’s before him, for the fact that the political messages from the major international opponent have not been exactly consistent: at times one of understanding, at times one of intimidation.  Looking at it from afar it’s difficult to say whether building defense based on nuclear armament is a justified solution for the problem, especially when it’s caused suffering and actual starvation for a great part of the population.
